Solid Performances at Home Meet

DGS had some solid performances last Friday as they competed against Neuqua Valley and Sandburg High Schools.

Bret Whitten won both hurdle races and set the fieldhouse record in the low hurdles at 7.45

The 1600 was the highlight event for the Mustangs though, with Nick Kirk taking the victory with an impressive lifetime best performance of 4:34.9... just missing the fieldhouse record.  Harry Miles ran a season best of 4:39, as did Jake Czyz 4:48, Amal Ghosh 5:04, and Mike Fogarty 5:27.

Scott Truesdale won the 600 in 1:35.3, followed by Melvin Brown in 1:36

Tim Chmela and Jason Shaughnessy ran their best times in the 800, both running 2:20 respectively.

David Fish ran away (pun intended) from the competition in the 3200 with a personal best of 10:36
